The Gladiator crew recently hosted a charter broker’s lunch on board and received glowing reviews from all who joined. Read on to find out what these industry professionals thought of their time aboard Gladiator.
“What a lovely lunch we had on board Gladiator. It all started with a warm welcome from many of the crew. It was refreshing to be greeted by so many instead of just one person at the boarding ladder with the Captain. The yacht looked the best I’ve ever seen her. Everything was fresh, I understand all new paint and all new linens inside, they were beautiful. I love that the beds can convert too, I wish every yacht could offer that option. The discreet call buttons in each area were also an added feature that all yachts should offer. I also didn’t realise that the windows could open in the sky lounge, with that and the doors open to the aft deck, it is a fantastic, spacious and open area for guests to enjoy. Replacing the jacuzzi was also a great touch as so many guests want to spend their time lounging around the jacuzzi, it’s the perfect spot.
As for the lunch…WOW!! Chef David did an amazing job. I loved the idea of a few smaller items to taste with both the appetiser and the dessert. It allowed him to showcase his diversity. And every bite was beautifully presented and delicious. He certainly took into account the dietary requirements that I’m sure each of us had and everyone was pleased.
The three stewardesses were spot on with everything. I know it was a bit difficult when the wind forced us into the dining room and they had to reach over us to serve, but they did so with grace and ease. I really enjoyed interacting with them. Captain Shaun joined us for lunch and it was a delight spending time with him. He is funny and engaging and yet so professional. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about the yacht, its crew and our experience.”

“My visit to Gladiator was quite enjoyable indeed. The yacht is in excellent, charter-ready condition, providing guests with all the expected amenities plus more, for example E-Foils, golf, inflatable basket ball net and a jungle gym, to name just a few. Captain Shaun and his crew are delightful! Professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and most of all caring. I enjoyed chatting with Shaun and found him to be personable and well informed. He has his entire crew in sync, yet appears to be a can-do, easy-going Captain. Chef David definitely has talent for French cuisine and I am sure he is also experienced in many other cuisines as well. The lunch was good, well thought out and perfectly presented. The dessert plate was a highlight indeed. Chief Stewardess Jessica gave us an excellent tour of the interior and proved herself to have an expert eye for detail as she explained each aspect of the cabins and living spaces. All other crew were in sync, polished and the service was impeccable.”
“Thank you so very much the opportunity to learn more about the Gladiator charter program, I’ve just written a full report for my colleagues, in essence suggesting ‘present Gladiator with confidence, five stars all round’.
Having the allocated parking spots upon arrival was a very classy ‘first impression’. We usually have to park so far or spend much time searching for a spot. The yacht showed impeccably well, has such a great layout and all the amenities that one could need. I love the seamless boarding from the swim platform to the tender (really great and safe boarding for elderly or guests who don’t quite have their sea legs). The paging system is great, and the crew seem to really have a great synergy on board. The ambiance felt most inviting, unpretentious and we just really felt welcomed and relaxed. Love that you have two fishing enthusiasts as part of the crew and that your are acquiring all the fishing gear – it separates Gladiator from the pack as a true specialist fishing yacht. Chef David did an outstanding job going the extra mile by offering us more than we could consume. As for the gift bags, very generous indeed.”

“A quick message to thank you for organising an exceptional lunch and a big thank you to the entire crew of Gladiator for making the experience so wonderful. I was very impressed from start to finish with the crew’s hospitality and chef David’s cuisine. Captain Shaun and chief stewardess Jessica made the experience very personable too (they did their homework by knowing where each broker was from, nice touch). The yacht itself is in immaculate condition. My colleagues and I will be sure to present Gladiator at every possible opportunity.”
“A huge thank you to Captain, crew and owners of Gladiator for lunch. It was great to see the yacht is all its glory, she is looking spectacular. The crew are also incredible and very willing and eager. The chef prepared a beautifully created masterpiece and dazzled with incredible flavours. It was a sterling lunch and I loved it. I would most certainly recommend the Gladiator to charter clients.”
“I had a great lunch on board. The meal that chef David prepared was amazing and the service during lunch was great; the crew were very professional. My favourite part of the meal was the desserts, they were unbelievable. Captain Shaun was very friendly and engaging, listening to him talk about the crew and how they work very well together as a team was great to hear. He also mentioned that two of the crew on board spearfish and that they have spearfishing gear for the boat, which is great for the Bahamas. I think that makes the yacht stand out from the others (having it be a true fishing boat).

The changes the Owner has made (softer tone Hermes blankets, new chairs at the dining table, clean and organised, replacing the rug in the sky lounge) really shows how he wants to make sure the yacht is in great shape for charter. The attention to detail in the bathrooms from a flower on the toilet paper roll to the cabinets stocked with Dyson blow dryers and toiletry bags is a wow factor! Everything on the sundeck looked fantastic, especially the jacuzzi, which the chief stew mentioned has just been re-done. All the cabins were in great shape. It is hard to tell she was built in 2010! The skylight in the master cabin is beautiful and I love how much natural light comes in. I would recommend this yacht to charter clients. Thank you for having me. I really enjoyed my time.”
